I hear you Brian, it's driving me crazy that I now have to spend $175 to replace something I just spent money on a year ago. That's why I'm hesitant to buy a set of Ebay LED's and potentially have problems again. If I just get some 01 tails and sell my LED inners and cleared 98 outers I won't have to worry about it. I like the LED's though, modernizes the car a little bit IMO.

Back of tail light picture
Here is a picture of the back plugs on the LED tail light do any of you have the same tail lights so I can see how yours are plugged in. I tried switching around some of the wires on the driver side but still no luck only turn signals and reverse light work properly no brake lights.

All my lights still light up when the headlights are turned on took the car to a shop here in colorado springs tech claims lights need a resistor but I dont think this guy knows what he is talking about. I read in the threads that the resistor is for the bulb indicator light I dont care about that just want my brake lights to work properly when I step on the brakes.

I switched the main brake light plugs and still nothing does it need to be done on both sides for it to work? I only tried it on the drivers side to see if it would work. You did mean the plugs connected to the main brake lights on the back of the LED tail lights right?
