Default How many miles are on your GS?? Help!!

Hello, i'm a gs lover but i've never owned one. I'm currently looking for a 1998-2000 GS300. My problem is that I really can't spend over 12,500 and all the gs's in my price range have a TON of miles on them(90-130k)!!! I just really don't wanna spend that much on a car if it isn't gonna last me long. I know lex's are known for reliability but how long do they typically last? How many miles do you guys currently have on yours?

P.S. I'm a newly registered member but i've been coming to the site for a while. Thank you guys, you've really helped me a lot in my quest fot the perfect gs!!

I have about 86K on my 98. I haven't had one problem. One of the best cars I've ever owned.

I have a 2001 GS430with 83k. My boy has a 2001 also that has 116k. Don't let the mileage scare you. I would suggest getting all the vins you can and if you know any one in the service center at a Lexus dealership, they can pull up previous records. The important thing is you want one that was taken care of well. If you can't find a service person, send me the vin's at kabakah1@yahoo.com, and I'll have my service people look up the records. Hope this helps!

Thanks Kabakah I really appreiciate that, it would help a lot. What part of GA are you in? I'm still about a month away from being ready to purchase so i'll be getting back to you on that. My current tags expire at the end of June so i'm trying to get it before then...

Everyone else thanks for the feedback keep it comin!!

Here's another thread that may help...

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...HOW+MANY+MILES

I believe there are more as well, just do an advanced search in the 2nd gs forums for "high miles" or "how many miles"

Mine GS4 2000, 127k. still pushing. No problem. Remember a 8cyl last longer than 6 & 4cyl. They have less revolutions at same speed. With maintenance of course
