Default Questions on Different Hub Fitment/Sizes

Hi all, I don't frequent this sub-forum that much. But my cousin has a GS400 and he plans on upgrading the brake system to a BBK. I'm trying to help him out and did some searches in the "Suspension and Brakes" sub-sub-forum, but still has some questions that I could not find answers for.

1. Do GS400 and GS430 have the exact same hub that a BBK that fits a GS430 will automatically fit a GS400?

2. I've seen threads about Supra TT BBK upgrade, does GS400 share the same hub as Supra TT? Anything that fits a Supra TT will fit a GS400?

3. For the Aristo in the JDM land, would the BBK's made for them fit our GS400 here in the US?

4. Any recommended BBK's that people have great experience with (fitment, performance, price, etc.)?

Thanks in advance for any information!

(Mods, if you think this thread should be moved to "Suspension and Brakes", please feel free to do so, but I thought most questions are related to the hub, I figured I would post it here instead. )

Yes, all GS's have the same hub bore and also lug pattern are the same. I think this even holds true for "most" of Toyota/Lexus cars.

2. I've seen threads about Supra TT BBK upgrade, does GS400 share the same hub as Supra TT? Anything that fits a Supra TT will fit a GS400?
Yes, as I said almost all Toyotas share the same hub size. The TT brakes are a direct bolt on for the GS. You just have to cut the dust shield a bit.

3. For the Aristo in the JDM land, would the BBK's made for them fit our GS400 here in the US?
I don't think thier brakes are any different than the US spec GS's. If you want a cheap brake upgrade go with the TT's. I used to have them and they were awesome! I'm switching to a bigger brake setup so the TT's were sold.

4. Any recommended BBK's that people have great experience with (fitment, performance, price, etc.)?
Best price performance ratio would goto the Supra TT brakes. You can pick up a used set here for about $600 with all stuff and accessories needed for installation. A "bigger" brake kit such as Rotora 6/4 piston 14" systems have even more stopping power but cost around $1500-2500 just for ONE set of brakes!

Thanks a lot for the info.
Since he wants to run bigger rotors (330mm to 350mm), anyone has any recommendations?

Have anyone tried Stoptech or Brembo? Or even AP/Alcon ($$$)??
