if i drop it , wouldn't the rims rub , right now when i go over humps i can hear it grazing, i love 20's even want to get 21's , , how much would it cost to drop it. i am due for struts anyway. including labor. is there a diy on dropping.
Did no one catch this?
DO NOT drop your car until you find out what is rubbing. If you have the wrong offset wheels and the car is rubbing at the height it is at now, you will be burning the tire off the rim in no time if you lower it.
First thing you need to do is find out exactly WHAT is rubbing. Is it front or back? Which side? Both Sides? Is it only when turning? Does it rub more with more people in the car? Find all that out first. Hopefully it will be an easy fix. Worst case scenario someone threw some wheels on your car that are not the proper wheel (offset) and there may not be anything you can do about it (depending on how bad it is) but get new wheels.
Hope this helps to get you started! Let's keep our fingers crossed it's nothing major!
DROP IT. I just dropped mine. It has 20's. Looks A MILLION times better. Shop around. I got my suspension + labor all for $520 and thats with alignment. Steal deal.
