I can't say for sure but based on my experience with my wife's base model RX, lots of the wiring for this extra stuff is there, just not being used.

Wood grain would be nice!! I want one... but the audio control... too lazy to reach over a few inches? haha Wouldn't you enjoy the manual shifting more??

well when I come to think about it, I guess I am to lazy haha. well actually I like to put my seat all the way back when I drive so I actually have to sit up just to change the song. plus my gs is in the shop right now and I have a loaner 08' es350 and I'm kinda likeing the steering audio control. plus I want a wood grain steering wheel so might as well kill two birds with one stone right? so does anyone out there know if this is possible. or has anyone tried it?

the steering wheel controls are sooo convenient. wood grain is very nice too. i want the same thing you want. i don't think we're going to get it unless we spend quite a large amount of money.

I think crutchfield makes one, but obviously you won't get woodgrain

Exclamation

Changing the steering wheel isn't to bad if you have the right tools. Most cars require a wheel puller to remove it. If you attempt it be sure to disconnect the battery at least 15 mins before you start or when you unplug the airbag....it will detonate.
