I have a 2001 GS430 with NAV and ML system. I have had it about one year now and have not done any window tinting since then.
Last night for the whole evening, the NAV stopped and only a black blank screen appeared. The audio and climate screens worked fine.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm sure you probably checked but did someone accidentally press the display off button? I know at one point (without me knowing) my wife pressed the GPS/True North button in the upper left hand corner and it freaked me out because I knew I was heading south and the screen seemed like it was upside down. I tried recalibrasting and it would switch back etc, then I realized the little compass had the "N" instead of "GPS".

The display is not turned off. It seems like I wasn't getting a GPS signal at all.
I live in Orange County, CA. Has anyone else had this problem?

The plug that connects the wiring harness of the NAV to the head unit probably came loose. Might want to have the dealer check that up for you.
