I just had my timing belt and water pump replaced as well as the gaskets and valves, because the mechanic had a mishap and bent them.
Now the car pulsates at idle. Every 10 seconds or so I get a little shake, like the car wants to move forward but my foot is on the brake. Any ideas?

I have that problem on my car sometimes. It's just a few little random misfires. I have my spark plugs gapped waaay below factory spec because I'm running boost. The small plug gap makes it hard to ignite small volumes of fuel like when the car is idling.
On your car, are you getting any check engine lights?

No CELs, but the computer the mechanic used did throw a "low voltage" code? He said that it's no longer throwing that code. When he was doing the head gasket, he checked the plugs and said they looked new. The car didn't do this before I took it in.
Do you think it would have anything to do with the valves needing time to seat properly? I know he said that might take a few days.
I haven't driven it since I dropped it off last night(because it was in LIMP mode) and he looked it over today. My wife just picked it up and said that it's still doing it.
Thanks for your ideas

I got the car back and everything feels good except I can hear the "tick, tick, tick" that I never had before. I've only put about 100 miles on the car since the four new valves and the mechanic said that they will take some time to seat properly and that should help get rid of the sound.
Does that sould like a viable solution?
Is there an oil additive that you've used, or heard of, that would help quiet them down.
Thanks.

the valves shouldve hand lapped before even puttin the head back on. when u hand lap the valves, it makes sure there is a good seal between the two. ask him if he lapped the valves.
