So on my way back from work tonight it was raining and i decided to drive in snow mode. I just got my GS a little less than 2 weeks ago and this is my first time playing with the custom driving pattern button, a previous time was on a better day when i was playng with the pwr drivin, but since it was raining tonight i decided to chek out the snow mode. Driving went well for 30min or so, then until I reached this hill in the city, (i live in NYC) i seem to press on the gas after the red light but the car wouldnt move but roll slowly, then after going over a slight bump the tires started spinning and I jetted foward. Now, 10min later, the check engine light came on, so I decided to go to a McDonald parking lot and check my engine oil and tranny oil, eveything was fine. Car drives fine too, i dont know if it is a placebo effect but I do feel the car losing slight power in some moments but drive normally during some for the rest of the ride home. Have anyone encountered this problem or have any suggestions for me? Much appreciated. thank you

You shouldn't use the snow mode unless you are driving in snow. The VSC is designed to give you traction, especially in heavy rain. You should read the owners manual. I hope your drivetrain is ok.

So wut about powermode? I can use that anytime right? I doubt the snow mode is used only in snow, it just adjusts the wheel spin of the car, but i dont know much about that, autoshops are closed today so I'll check for the error code tomorrow. I think it may be the electronic throttle control system that needs to be readjusted and then reset the ecu. that's my guess for now, until then, the car is gonna be parked

I always thought snow mode allowed the vehicle to start moving in like 2nd or 3rd gear instead of first to prevent wheel spin in the snow. IMO I would reset the ecu by unplugging the battery for about 10 mins or go to a shop that can check the CEL for you. Powermode is fine but this car is not a race car that has nitrous or anything.

one thing I'm concerned about is if my CEL is on bcuz of a problem with my electronic throttle control system cuz I do feel a loss of power at the pedal sometimes. 8 wouldn't feel considerable acceleration until I press pass the 10-20% on the gas pedal. I know some refer to this as a limp pedal. now wut I wanna know is wut can cause a limp pedal and how much and/or how big of a job is it to fix the electronic throttle system?
