How come there aren't that many 99 GS400's? I usually see 1998 and 2000 and a few 2001, but where are the 1999 GS's. Plus, very few people sell parts for the 1998-1999 Silver GS's. I want some good deals, hahahahaha

In this economy, very few people will buy a 02 GS430 especially when they could get a 01 new GS430 for a few G's cheaper... Any new features in the 02?
I have two friends/associates that wanted to buy a 99 GS4 but waited for the 2000 Jag S-type... What a mistake!!!

1999 GS400 here (w/ drl, by the way)
...but with a not-too-popular color that looks very beautiful too: champagne gold
I changed the badges to gold package and the rear lights to 01 lights and it just looks so beautiful from the rear!
My dad owns a place at the mall and parks the car at the very front when he is there and one of my dad's friend's said, "when I stand outside the mall to smoke, you wouldn't believe how many people I see who stop to look at that car and admire it"
...but then again, its the 2nd GS400 in town! and the other one is not pretty at all (doesnt take care of it)...so its like exotic to people around here
in small towns, either people drive a S-Class or they drive a Accord/Camry, not many in-betweeners

Another '99
Here’s another ’99 GS4 – pearl white, without DRL.
Incidentally, the DRL’s were installed on late ‘99’s – it was a mid-model year change. I questioned the parts manager at Sewell Lexus (Dallas)‘cause the Lexus documentation on the model year features showed the 99’s with DRL - but they weren’t on mine. He checked and found that they came on later VIN’s and are not feasible to retro-fit.
