i would go with what ever you like and in my opinion an Avalon can be a luxury vehicle, it all depends on the trim you buy. just a name brand of a car does not mean luxury.

Thanks for your thoughts to all that responded. I saw two nice looking GS's today and my mouth was like watering. At this point, I'm still interested in the GS. Hope I'll be able to get another one.

If I was on the marketing for another car, yes, I'd consider other non-luxury cars. I'd go with a 350z, FD, NSX or even an SUV. The FJ Cruiser has grown on me.

If I were in your shoes, I'd buy a car, other than a GS. New car = new project = new adventure!

A new fair to fully loaded camry or accord is at least $25k, I'd rather get a used luxury, hence another gs or even the Q/older M

I wouldn't go back to non-luxury sedans, thats for sure. Then again, i never owned a "non-luxury" car before. I've been spoiling myself with luxury cars from the start

I would get an s2000, nsx, etc though. For me, its either luxury sedan/coupe or sports car.

Only car I think i could go to would maybe be a Late model VW golf TDI for some mileage as a commuter, and sports cars are always an option.
