GS400 Starter

Hi GSteg!
I applied some High temp grease anyway, I don't think it can hurt.
Looked up your bio and saw that you own a GS300. Looks like it is similar to my GS400 if the pictures that you sent in are representative.

Hi GSteg!
I keep seeing these messages that you are not a free mechanic, OK, I'll reimburse you for your help if you can tell me why my coolant is running out trough the bottom(don't know specifically) when the engine is running.
Is there a pressure regulator that is doing this?
Let me know how I am supposed to show my appreciation
Thanks
Alex

You're going to have to trace to see where the coolant is coming out of.
On my old car, the coolant was leaking through the water pipe (coolant seeping out). I dont remember on the GS, but there might be an o-ring that's too old to be used?

Hi GSteg!
Unless it's leaking from above the transmission. Could I have crossed the lines somehow, water with transmission, when I put the engine back together? The starter works beautifully.
Thanks

I dont think you can cross the lines. If you did, your car would have been done for already.
Wipe the area dry and see if the car still leaks over the next couple of days. Take a quick *sniff* at the fluid. There is a distinctive smell between ATF and Coolant.

Hi GSteg!
The liquid feels like transmission oil, but when I run the car in neutral the coolant comes down almost like Niagara Falls from the same area or above the transmission. Is this the location where you get the transmission fluid changed and replace the filter? I had it done not that long ago and maybe they didn't tighten the bolts enoutgh.
Thanks
Alex
