When I debadged my TL (silver color) it had that outline too. Most of it came off when I used rubbing compound on it. There was still a very faint outline after that. My paint guy then wetsanded it and buffed it with a orbital buffer and threw some wax on there, and it looked perfect. Again that was on a silver car which is a little more "forgiving" than a black car. Hope this helps.

I just did mine and ended up wetsanding the area and polishing it out. You would never know they were there.

I actually can't stand badges... this doesn't look good?
is that a huge white light mounted in the middle of your trunk? i really like your gs, always have... but that thing is horrible...talking about a clean trunk and no badges, then slapping a big led dead center.

yeah my friends suggested rubber compound and wetsanding it too with a buffer. but wetsanding sounds a tad scary for me because wouldn't it take off the clear coat?

Using Rubbing compound also takes off clearcoat, but if you want it off, that is the best way to do it, also, that is what wax is for. Once you take it off, but put like 2 or 3 coats of wax on it. It will be soooooo smooth too. Good luck.

That's the third brake light from a MKIV Supra I believe. And if you think it looks horrible, then you would be the first...
