Question Chrome Door Handle Questions

Hey, recently had the chrome handles put on my car. It looks awesome!
However, the back doors are now hard to open.

Front handles, no problem, but back handles really require a hard jerk up (sometimes 2 or 3 times) to open. Any one else had this problem? Do they "loosen" up after repeated use?

Maybe apply some WD-40 around, see if it loosens some things up...

i think i replied to your other thread but the rears have black tape on the contact point you need to apply more tape to this area to thicken the contact point up a little the dooors will open sooner /better i did this to mine and it works well !!!

I have the chrome handles and experience the same thing. Try this: pull up the handle very quickly!

There is no problem with the looseness/tightness. If you compare the chrome handle to the stock ones, you'll notice a difference on the bar that strikes the unlocking mechanism. Also notice that when you open the door from the inside, there are no issues.

To resolve the issue of opening the door from the outside, you either do the tape method, as mentioned by lexusondubs above, or simply pull up on the door handle very quickly.

If you decide not to do the tape method, you'll find yourself opening thd door for everyone that will sit in the back. =)

Default Chrome door handles

Thanks for the replies. I am going to take the car back to my body guy and let him know about the tape.
