Default 03 gs300 HID question

i want HIDS for my 03 GS300 but i don't know where to start. I want the headlights to look stock and i want a cut off. I was looking and i noticed that the 06 GS300 come with HIDS, and i was wondering will the 06 GS300 headlights fit the 03? If not i did Lexus make HIDS for the 03 GS300 that i could buy from the dealership and swap with mine?

Well you definitely can't put 06 headlights on a 03 but you can buy the HID headlights housings for your 03. You will also need D2R bulbs and ballasts. You can also do or have a retrofit done.

Hey guys, I'm a newbie here so i hope i don't get flamed for this... I have a '99 GS300 and i think the GS430's (the 1999 ones) came with HID lights- correct? if that's the case, can i switch the headlights from the 430 to the 300?

Yes you can.

98-00 GS300/400 and 01-05 GS300 were optional. 01-05 GS430 are standard.

The pattern of the reflector is difference. Particularly with out car, the Halogen-based reflectors have smoother design inside the bowl. The HID-based reflectors have more apparant lines (part of design) in it.

Or you can just read the D2R label on the HID reflector

Ya. You have to switch out the headlight. It makes it much easier.
