Default Day time Runners?

Sorry I did do a search about the topic and couldnt find anything, I have a 98GS400 and I do not have day time runners. I have every other upgrade under the sun (navi, hid, ect) Did my car not come with day time runners? Is there a way to turn them off or on?

I think it was an option only on newer 2g but not for sure.

Thanks

I have a 98 GS4 also, and I believe that 1998 is the only year that didn't have DLR. That is the easiest way to spot a 98 GS. If I am wrong, someone correct me.

According to my research, that's correct. 98 GS's don't have DRLs.

The Day time running lights are the inner lights up front that stay on all the time, my GS4 turns them off in Auto but if i switch over to the off position they come on...

Only the 2000 and up model gs's have drl's. Im sure you could figure out how to make them turn on if you really wanted.

my 99 GS has them, but i have to turn them off, because my nav will switch to night mode (dark screen) whenever any of the lights come on.

some time this summer i am going to try to wire up my fog lights to be DRLs, and hopefully not have it interfere with my Nav display... has anybody tried this???

I was thinking of wiring them to have a relay swith or something. I want them to be the yellow Piaa bulbs. I already switched out the wedge bulbs for yellow and it looks nice matchin the fogs at night.

Thanks for everyone info
