could someone explain why some of the stock spoilers are flush against the trunk while others look like they are hanging with a gap between it and the trunk? i'm not sure whether it has to do with some being aftermarket or is it the way its mounted?

 

the ones that looks like a little lip on the trunk is from a sports design.... and the other ones are from a GS4xx.... well thats what i think at least... please correct me if i'm wrong....

 

let me clarify...my question is regarding the stock spoiler with the brake light not the lip spoiler from sports edition
