What kind of transmission will the next gen GS series have?.. Do you think they will have a model with a 5 or 6-speed manual, and will Lexus use a 5 -speed auto or match up to BMW 5 and 7 series with their own 6-speed auto too?

I came accross this pic at night, and I thought I'd post it for everyone to see. I havent been to work since yesterday, (FINAL EXAMS!!! AGRRHH!!!) but I'm going in Monday, and I'll go see the owner, (Who BTW is one of the nicest and most intelligent Lexus Dealership Owner/GM's in the country.) I'll see what he has to say about it. But, like most people have speculated, and like I've come to believe, this photo is probobly fake.

In addition to what others have posted...

Look at the angle of the driver side (well, to us Americans anyways) foglight...it's wrong.

The angle of the grille is off. The driver's side is too low...

The lines around the passenger side headlight is blure d pretty bad on top...a sign of Photohacking (I know, cuz I do that!)

If you zoom up on the door handles, you can tell that they are copies of each other...with one just reduced...the pixelation is far to uniform. In a real photo, these wouldn't match so closely.

Plus the handles are angled funny (downward)...don't think they would that from the factory...

Plus the rear handle is too low...

Also, look at where the rear door lines up with the window...it meets at the rear 1/4 window...doesn't flow rig ht...

The shadowing on the front and rear wheel are exact. This too wouldn't happen (at least from the angle that the light is hitting it) in real life.

Notice the "outline" of the tail light is super weak yet the outline of the back of the rear door is clear...a little too clear (check out the definition of the back of the front door).

The colors don't even match from the front and rear doors...but that could be BAD bodyshop work

HOWEVER, it looks like a RHD car...which would give it some credit...

Overall, it's not a bad Photohack job...here's another 'hack job... o

It is hard to believe that this will be the next GS. All the debris around the car just does not look right.

That's garbage:eek:... What is wrong with Lexus!!!

First they made the love it or hate it styling of the current GS (sorry guys...)... They stop working with the styling genius Guigario(or however it is spelled ) and styled it in house, big mistake... I however, love the LS V8 heart transplant that made it a beast and a true 540i competitor...

Secondly,The IS3 is sporty, but it still looks like a sporty Civic... (I like it 2nd behind the LS430 in looks however)

Lexus made the LS look like an modern day 92-98' S-class... The Ls430 is a class leader however.. To be honest it is the best looking car Lexus has now... IMO That's sad to because the LS is bland as hell...

Then they jack up the SC... Even though I respect the car greatly it is not the same beauty... To many styling cues from other cars and not the trend setter it once was... Where is the quad lights on the coupe? Why is the XK8 a better looking car than the SC430, Why Why Why? The SC430 is supposed to be the best looking coupe/convert in the states or world!!!

ES300 2002... GOD help me!!! It is soooooooo ugly... compared to the 92-99' classy ES300.. I know the cars are going to sell because it is a Lex, but the Camry looks better... IMO

To be honest if Lexus did not have the great service and quality.. I do not think we would sell more cars than Audi, based on looks... How many people think that we would sell more than BMW or M-B if we had the same quality and service as they do?

They competition is looking much better, I hope Lexus hires some better designers! I know I got carried away, but this design BS is getting crazy...

If that's what the next GS is gonna look like, well, IMO Lexus just f@cked up a good thing! I'm beginning to think that Lexus is gonna make the same mistake Nissan did with their Maxima...
