Default don't you just love the loaner car service

my car has been at lexus since thursday, fixing the heater core , i ran through the rx 330 now i have the es 350 , that is kind of hot, but i miss my gs. anybody feeling the push start on the new lexus coming out, the es350 got it, it's cool. one more thing if you have an old gs like 1 gen , do you still get a loaner car, curious question.

Both of mine are '01s and out of warranty a few months ago. Both were in for service in the last 2 weeks and loaners were offered. '07 RX 350's.

There is a lot of difference in regards to loaner vehicles if you look at different stores.

My dealer reserves loaners for any schedule service of two hours or more. This is major services or repairs, heater cores are one of those. I wish we could be like some of the other locations and give everyone a car but our cust want cars for a forty dollar oil change and don't bring them back for a day sometimes more. Plus with 100 loaners and 125 cust per day, the math doesn't add up.

The job I worked at before, they had the Toyota Prius and which had that push to start button your talking about. Not to bad, never had any issues starting the car.

Default Loaner

I was in Lexus couple weeks ago and they gave me the ES350. It was loaded! I liked the push start. not like having a bunch of keys scratching up your column. I also like the rear view camera on the monitor. That was nice. BTW I have a 98 gs4. I was tempted to ask if I could have a IS series but oh well.

My dealer loaned me an es 350 when I had my ball joints replaced. Kept the car all day and put 170 miles on it! The es 350 is decent but did not impress me enough to want one. Plenty of power but does not handle as well as the gs. I looked at an 07 gs 350 and all I can say is sweeeet! I know what my next car will be!

my dealer provides loaners on all service, even the basics. My last car was way out of warranty and I got the loaner all the time, it was nice to get treated well.

When I bought a different make car later on, they said I had loaner service, which inlcuded me going to another location, renting a car under my name, getting the hard sell for insurance and then submitting the bill for reimbursement...

I dont think I call that really a loaner service.
