Question Door wont open

hey guys... have a quick question for you.
I recently changed my actuators a few months ago in which i had no problems w. Now, the right rear passnger door wont unlock nor open at all. it wont even unlock manually from the inside. it's totally inactive.

My question is: how can i remove the door panel w/o cutting it? since the door wont open to remove it properly..

Hey I'm going to do this tomorrow. My drivers and passenger doors are messed up and can't open with the remote. My passenger window is acting funny too. I purchased 4 motors just incase.

This happened to me too. Luckily the door opened with a bit of force applied to the inside door lock (pushed hard to "unlock" position) and pulling the door handle. Try that.

I just finished Driver and rear passenger door. The rear passenger was harder to get out than the front. Anyway both work fine with and w/o the remote. Thanks for the DIY vids, it helped alot. I had to take the rear door panel off like three times because I kept having bolts left over...LOL!!! Saved me a lot of loot.

My RX300 has a busted actuator in the front driver side door.

Can someone comment which is an easier DIY job:
1. Replacing the actuator motor as described in this thread
2. Adding a generic actuator as a piggyback (described in other threads)

Both approaches seem effective, and I'm having a hard time deciding which is the right approach to take.

IMO, of course.
I made an offer of $9, they took it. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

i contacted that guy also as i was gonna buy a lot of 100 or so....he said if i bought in a lot of 50 he would only charge me $6 each so obviously they have a HUGE mark up on them if they willing to drop off HALF the price to purchase 50

I spent 2 1/2 hours this morning reading all 578 posts! took me about a little over an hour to replace the rear passenger actuator motor. Straight forward if you read page 11..

hope this helps..

btw, I bought 2 on ebay (mabuchi's) for less than $14 delivered...

Cheers..

Can someone confirm whether the techniques in this thread will work for a 2003 RX 300? I'm about to order replacement motors on ebay, but just want to be sure that this will fit the RX.

When I looked on ebay, there seems to be discrepancy between "round shaft" and "flat shaft" and I'm unsure which one to order.

Just replaced my rear passenger actuator today.....man o man was it a pita to remove the assembly without taking the handle off. Finally got it though after wrestling with the damn thing, swapped the new actuator in, worked like a charm .

Somehow the information gets buried deep in this thread, but if you need to remove the rear actuator, you just have to pull on the handle cable and the whole actuator should slide right out.

Who told you that? The actuator is attached to th entire assembly by 2 screws. Not to mention its a tight fit in there.

No one. I've done enough of these to know what works and what doesn't

Trust me on this. I had someone else come to me with the same problem and once he did what I told him to do, he got it out in less than 2 minutes. I can pull them out in less than 30 seconds, just because it's second nature.
