The motors appear to be the same. Both sets carry the same part number - 22125. The only difference I see is the Mabuchis don't have the collar on them. That means you will have to take the collar(s) off the old motors and put them on the new ones. You'll need a gear puller, a vice or something to pry them off with.

Marco replaced all 4 of my door lock actuators and did a wonderful job! Now they are strong and quick. He traveled to my home (for a very reasonable fee) and was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. He even answered unrelated questions about the car. And all for thousands less than the Lexus dealership quoted. For anyone in southern California, I highly recommend Marco!

Thanks to this thread, I was able to switch out the 4 non working mabuchi motors in my 01 GS3. Next step is to tackle my 98. Thanks you forum and all those who contributed.

hey guys. replaced 3 actuators on my 98 gs400 a month ago, all door lock and unlock just fine with the electronic button on the driver side door but my remote wont lock/unlock the doors, replaced the battery and reprogrammed it and all but it just doesn't work. any ideas?

Hey guys, I just bought a 03 gs430 last week,and i believe I already have an issue with the actuator on the driver side door.it still locks,but only manually..do I need to get it replaced?
