I live on the Palmer Divide, which is the highest point east of the Rockies. We get a ton of snow from Sept thru May. I have Michelin Ice on a second set of rims and in the snow gear it has nver failed me...I never knew snow tires could be so useful. If they snow gets over 2 feet, i will have a problem, but so will your suburu..

i think LSD would even worsen the traction in the snow
one of the tires would just spin and the rear wont get enough torque down
a 4x4 SUV would be most suitable
then AWD
then FWD
and RWD are the worst on the snow

This is my first post and not to change the subject, but I'm a fellow DSM'er as well! Pretty heavily modded and she moves pretty well, 11.60's @ 125.
