Yesterday, while driving, my radio completely turned off. I knew it was the fuse b/c the clock was off too.
I didn't think anything of it until I shut off the car.

It wouldn't allow me to put the shifter into Park. You can only put it N and the only way to get the key out (if you needed to). I had to use to foot brake, didn't want it to roll back

I was going to put in reverse to go buy a fuse, but couldn't either. I normally have a box of spare fuses in the glove compartment, but left it in the garage
Well I didn't pop that gear lock release.
I pull a fuse from the WIPER and pop it back in the RADIO2 and that was the fix.

Strange that a fuse from radio/clock won't allow you to shift out of D
Why on earth would lexus do that?

I know that this was a rare ocurrence, but it happened.

...weird, I guess there must be a solenoid that has to been energized to put it into Park. I think worse case you'd be able to pull the little cover off next to the shifter, push the button, and shift it into park.

OK, I see my title got changed.

Maybe a mod can change it back, "My GS couldn't shift into Park when radio2 fuse blew"

It can still start after turning the car off, just had to be in Neutral.
