Default Thin turn signals on Sonar LED tails *PICS*

Used some adhesive vinyl to mod my big clear turn signals.

JP style with the red outline. Probably won't be able to do it right with the tape. That's just a mockup with a lot of rough edges.

Probably what I'm going to go with because it's too hard to do the red outline without painting the tail lights.

Any comments?

It will look good for the first fews months, then wear and tear of the vinyl will eventually fade it into a pink color.

Way to ruin my idea.

Just kidding. It's a good thing I have this big roll of the stuff and it's really easy to do.

Haha. Sorry. Trust me, you will get lazy when the time comes to re-vinyl it. Or maybe not since it's just a small portion, but if you plan on doing that nice thin strip all the way around you will. I used to have a Honda bit didn't like the amber turn signals on the stocks or "altezza" lights, so I purchased some all clear tailights and painted specific portions red and it would fade all the time. I had to re-paint every few months to get that nice glossy look. I got tired of that so then I just used vinyl but then that turned pink also so I said forget it and went back to stock tails. Then again, I am just lazy. GL!

Thanks, the job took like 5 minutes so I don't think I'll be lazy. Plus I'm a pro at taking off my tails now. Gotta keep the GS looking good. BTW, I tried those Silverstar bulbs like you told me to. You can see them in the pics. I might just go with amber since they look a bit cheesy.

Long Term the tape didn't hold up so I removed it. Painting it with candy red paint will last longer and look better. I left mine alone and am now used to it the way it originally came.

Thanks Glen, I might try it sometime when I'm bored. I'll try to get daytime pics of my car tomorrow with the thinner signals.

Haha. OK. I am just super lazy then. I know the Silverstar bulbs have this weird blue/yellow hue to it when off but you have to admit that they do have wayyy better light output than the chrome amber ones that came with it. I am sticking with these for now for the functionality. I have seen better chrome amber ones from Japan but they are a bit pricey. Maybe you want to give those a shot before you go back to amber bulbs.
