New starter motor: now have VSC malfunction??
I just had my starter replaced by my mechanic (not Lexus mech if that matters), and when I got the car back, the "VSC" malfuction light was on as well as the "VSC off" light. The switch won't do anything anymore. Could this be related to the starter replacement?
I also have some emissions issues- The evaporative gas canister needs to be replaced and so does the left bank catalytic converter. I think I've read that the evap. canister can set off the VSC light, but these emissions problems existed long before the VSC light came on (like a year or so...), and I've never seen the VSC light on. I'm wondering if maybe a wiring harness or something got disconnected during the starter replacement. I have a 99 GS400 with 111,000mi on it. Any help is appreciated.
