dont know about your 00 gs but this mod works great in my 03 430.
Could you provide any pic.s as to how you did this? I read the wwest instructions and am still a little confused about the placement of the jumper.

Thanks,

My 99 GS300 will not turn on the DRL if the emergency brake is on. Once you release the e-brake it grounds a relay and turns on the DRL. If you can trace the wire from the e-brake pedal and cut it, it may keep the DRL from coming on. I learned this from the car owners manual and schematic. I just haven't gotten around to finding the wire on the car. Do a test and put your e-brake on before starting the car and see if the DRLs come on. (you may lose the "e-brake on" warning light if there is a single wiring coming from the e-brake switch) in which case you would need to find the splice and cut the wire between the switch and relay..which is located behind the glove box somewhere.

is the DRL the 192 bulb in the highbeam housing? Or is that the parking light?

If so...my DRL's are never on...? I always leave the 192 bulb on though.

DRL is the High beam bulb running on lower power, its at the center of the bowl. The bulb on the side of the bowl is a parking light that comes on when the low beam head lights are on.
