Well, I mean how bad could it be lol? Most cars out there don't even have a filter at all. At worse, I just see this as a flow restriction hindering the efficiency of your A/C.

True story. Right after I bought my GS last summer I cleaned out the cabin filter to find a dead mouse along with two hands full of other crap. Changed it out and put air freshener between the new filter and the plastic holder. Never smelled better!

We get these a lot down in florida cuz the snow birds leave there cars here for six months and rats find the blower case to be a great place to raise there babies. Whats worse is when they live in the blower motor and the owner runs the AC chopping up the rat. That smells real great!!!

yeah they do at like 28 bucks a pop for a filter....

and that carbon will work for about a week before it's useless.

just like on fishtanks, where carbon is used to clear up/polish the water, it becomes useless in about 1-2 weeks.

When you say the carbon? Do you think that goes for the OEM filter as well as the carbon homemade like I made? What do you think?

You realize the filter you used reduced your surface area by at least 65%. Why did you not get the high performance filter that had almost the same number of folds per inch.....it has a rating of 1200 and was 16 bucks for a 20 x 30. I made filters for 3 of our cars, and i have enough for 3 more. EIther way strong work....
