Default Offset question

Hey Guys really New here,

My wife owns a 99 gs300 with the stock 16" and i really hate them, i want to throw on my stock 17" wheels from my accord but i don't know the exact offset i believe it's between 42-55mm, the both patten is the same. Am I going to have any problems with these wheels on that car in your opinion.

Any help is greaty appreciated,

Mill

they do
but it's the center cap, that comes out when u balance the tire and i believe the lexus cap should fit in the same space
but gotta try still

i really doubt that'll fit. ive owned a few hondas and have seen a lot of the stock wheels available...along with a few sets of lex 16s and 17s... you can try but even if you end up forcing it somehow, its gonna look pretty ghetto especially if you know your cars.

OE Honda wheels on a Lexus...

That's it; I quit !!!

FWIW, they'll look pretty silly on the GS due to the high offset; they're probably 17x6.5 or something strange. They won't be hubcentric for the Lexus, so you may have vibration issues.

IF you do this, use the factory Honda lug nuts; the Honda wheels are "ball seat" and require a special lug nut. The thread pitch is the same on the Honda & Lexus, so the Honda nuts will go on the Lexus wheel studs w/ no problems.
If you run a 'conical' type of nut, you risk having the lug nuts back-off and the wheels could come off the car at speed.

Like they say "Be a player, not a pretender."

Thanks for the replys, i guess i will have to try something about the emblem when i cross that bridge.

and i don't think they will look that bad and my honda wheels are 17 X 7 and the high offset won't be that much on an issue because the stock 17 GS wheels have a offset of 50mm and the only other issue is the center bore which is 60.1 for the lex and my honda is 64.1. i hope it won't be a real issue with vibrations but i'll have to try and see.

i will post picks for u guys to see when and if i do it.

And if ur wondering why i am doing it is because my wife drives the GS and she really doesn't care for rims and stuff and i do so i am getting rims for my accord and giving my rims to her cause i have new tires on them and don't want to put them to waste.

It really won't look that bad these are the wheels i am putting on

Just for reference, the OE GS 17s are 17x8 +50.

For comparison, if the Honda wheels are 17x7 +50,
they'll sit 1/2" further inboard than OE GS wheels
(which already look pretty lost, especially on the rear).

I couldn't live with it, but more power to you!

Don't do it. You'll end up wanting to put spacers.

aaaaagggghhhhh..........nooooooooooo!!!! J/k I would be interested in seeing how they look though. I used to have a 97 RL and put aftermarket rims on them. the center bore was 73 on the rim and the stock was I think 64.1 like the accord's, I put on some $10 hub centric rings from ebay and they rode smoother than stock. Only thing with what you are doing that I am skeptical about is how tucked the rears are. I have the stock 17's and they look like spares back there. Also the "H" would look hella ghettofied. ANyhow, post pics of what you do...
