The spots are a result of hard water. I have a buddy with a black Suburban and a Forest Green Accord. He uses the Mr. Clean hose attachment thing and doesnt have water spots. I am gonna try it and see. the water here (Bay Area Cali.) is hella hard and turns white when it dries. that is why my MPV (rally White) always looks pretty clean

has anyone else noticed how after washing car and driving just once that dirt/dust accumulates on the rear bumper/trunk area? it's like the aerodynamics somehow just drop everything right there....

actually you are not the only one , on my bumper after driving a day a whole bunch of dust does collect on the bumper for some reason. every day i dust it.

I wash mine once a week. I also polish it annually and apply a coating from Granitz called Xylion. Most people think it's snake oil, but in the three years I've used it I've been very impressed. I found a supplier that sells it pretty cheap and I can do three coats on all three vehicles and still have half a bottle left.
Great thing is that it is anti-static so it doesn't attract dust. It also beads water like crazy.

You can get the cali water blade at costco it comes in a two pack.. and for me my car rarely gets dirty especially here in vegas it literally rains once a week in a whole year! and the thing i worry about is dust here.. but then working at a Lexus dealership with a touch less car wash is a great perk to keeping my car clean too!
