the case is not transferable because the key blade is molded to the plastic casing. You would need to buy a new case and blade and have the key cut and then transfer over your FOB.

Like Alexus 300 said, the key is attached to the case. Although I'm not real fond of this retailer, they do have these: http://www.lextasy.com/lexus-keycase-transponder.htm

Hmm, this place specializes in Lexus/Toyota an has blades/shells for $40 and blades/shells/transponders for $130. And they can do all the copying too.

I think you're best off getting a new one from Lexus. My dealer has them for I think $65 from Lexus and like $40-45 generic. The key still will need to be cut no mater where you get it from, and some Lexus dealers have the machine to do it.

Hendricks charge 89.95 that's for the case and cutting new key.

The key shank is molded in one piece and the cover is another. If the cover broke, most probably dealer will give you one for free (canabalized from old keys) . If the plastic of the molded key blade broke, then you need to pay to buy the shank and then have the key personalized.

This is the cheapest generic one I've found. My key is busted so I should be picking this up locally in the next few days. Let you know on the quality.

I got 2 keys shells cut and everything off ebay for $60 shipped.

If you have the # off your spare card key some places can cut it before they send it.

They worked like a champ when I got them.

If you have the guts from an old key, the rest is easy. Buy this blank key off ebay and go have it cut at Ace Hardware. Blank key + cost to cut totals about $15.
