the "adjustment" warranty is 1 year or 20,000 miles - it is for balance and alignment issues only..

and they should not be giving you any crap about it, it should be taken care of immediately unless there is obvious external impact.

Hey I know your car. I've seen it a few times in the shop. I used to have the black GS4 with the 2 tone interior. I remember speaking to you about your wheels B4 you got them.

Back on topic hopefully you(Jeff) can get that taken care of. They should replace both hinges. Are there any other dealers near you? If so find a tech who is as much into modding cars as you(believe me there out there)!!

No external impacts whatsoever. They were trying to find every possible little thing to get out of servicing my trunk. As I said, they pointed out a few hairline scratches on the rear bumper and pin tip sized dimples on the trunk! As a last measure the guy told me to try to adjust it myself. I don't want to try readjusting it myself then because the paint on the bolts would be scratched, and I know they would then 100% pit the blame on me by saying "it's been worked on before".

I have a feeling that they just try to find any possible angle to get out of working on modded cars. The service managers gives me the disapproving look every time I bring the car in for a car wash, but the mechanic guys love the car lol. I turbocharged my engine, so yes the entire powertrain is out of warranty. I can accept that, but the trunk hinges...come on lol!

LEXTEK444, I'm gonna bring my car to Sewell Lexus in Dallas, TX(about 20mins away). That's where my parents bought their LX470 new back in 2002. They seem to be WAYYY more accomodating towards modded cars. I mean hell, they're a vendor here on our forum selling aftermarket parts! I just thought I'd give the dealership where I actually bought my car from a shot first before anything else. I'm sure I'll be buyin my next Lexus from Sewell lol.
