From what I have read the ECT does NOT give you extra horsepower! It allows the transmission to shift quicker; both up and down shifting. I think it also allows to pull further up the tach to the redline at WOT...not sure about that one though.

I think it's like 20 seconds for a 300.

Isn't that crazy when you think about it...

300hp - 5.7/5.9 seconds 0-60
225hp - 7.7/7.9 seconds 0-60

A full 2 second difference only adding 75 extra horses from Lexus! I bet if I added 100 more horses to my GS400 (making it 400hp) that I wouldn't be able to reduce the 0-60 by even 1 second...pretty weird, interesting though.

Gotta factor in that you're comparing a 6 cylinder to an 8 cylinder pulling the same 2 tons of fun....

No, not seconds; maybe 1-2 tenths of a second. But when racing an equal powered car it definitely could help to edge you out with the win.

i think the 300 is about 1.5 seconds slower than the 400/430 in the 0-60.

in the 1/4 i think the 300 is about 1 second slower than the 400/430, if i recall correctly.
