My GS Then to Now
#346
So, had a bright idea a few days ago about putting my EXE Konvex Wheels on Jordan (RollininStyle2004)’s whip for SofaKingFresh 2010. That's a pretty cool invite only met here in ATL. Since my car was going to be down for a while due to the audio build we decided to give it a try.
Jacked up one side to test out one wheel.
We had to check to see if there were pockets behind the hub so that Jordan could reuse the adapters that he used on his Passat when he had the Eurolines.
Score!
Then drove the car over to Jordan’s crib and jacked her all the way up
Started taking off the wheels on the Allroad
I took the time to do some touch up painting while the wheels were off my whip
Size difference
Tread difference
We cleared the stock air ride bags by ¾ of an inch
All the way up

Some American Radio love
Rollin out to the meet
Hopefully the car will get more work done on it soon. We are going to an audio show this weekend in the Allroad so the wheels are staying on it until after that and that also means no more work on the GS till that is done and over with haha

Got the majority of the sound deadening in the trunk done now. Starting to see more progress in the form of extending wires and sub box floor boards.
Enter Stinger Roadkill Expert Sound Deadening bulk pack #2
Cut out a piece of MDF for the sub woofer box base plate leaving room for wires to be run
Fine tuned the mirrors and added sound deadening on the insides
Brett AKA Steve the Pirate helped me out with some deadening
I am determined to get every nook and cranny
Starting to look all deadened out

lol not even the least bit crazy.. you should see some cars we do here at the shop. 3-4 layers of deadening easy. i am only doing 2 layers
thanks slowly but surely
more progress today:
got some rails for a super secret compartment and some PL400 to glue down the subwoofer enclosure floor board
used just about the whole bottle on the mdf board and then put the rest on the edges and put my subs on it to keep some pressure on it
since we are going to run wires a little differently in the trunk we decided to extend some wires so that we could route the wires away from the subwoofer enclosure.
Thanks to Mr. Marsh for doing this the right way. Solder Iron FTW!!!

That is all for now
