Enginyr,

Cinnabar was and still is the color. I guess this was an option with 1998 GS 400's. I'm not sure if the current year 2001 and 2002 models have this color as an option. I just had the nose painted, rear bumper, RMM grill, window spoiler, and greddy gracer lip. The rest of the car is still the original paint.....still looks good from 1998 but perhaps that's from the hand wax I get done to it every two weeks.

This color along with Spectra Blue made up total about 5% of the entire Lexus population (I think I read that somewhere....5 % may not be right but its very low). So you must understand once I saw this car in the dealer, I jumped right in......right into big monthly payments....

2SAVVY,
Yes I hope to get them soon, however my next short term goal is the downpayment on a 4 to 5 family home as an investment and generate some additional $$$$$ for more toys (like dare I say V12 S600...oh baby)

Oh and Manaray has the right to his opinion. If he doesn't like them, he doesn't like them....but I didn't ask for his opinion either. Everybody has a right to his or her own opinion, but its just that HIS or HER opinion.

Take care guys,

Do you guys think that a 1" drop via the L-tuned sports spring/shock combo will be enough to make the car look right?

Thanks for the input!

I get many compliments and most people don't even notice the drop=Meaning it doesn't look too agressive.

I talked to a friend and he said I could take my car to a paint shop get the couple nick's on the front filled and the whole car clear coated. Anyone think this is a good/bad idea?

If most people dont notice the drop,

Should I go with something greater than a 1.0" drop?

What exactly did you mean?

If you wanted to go more agressive than L-tuned, you will have to drastically change the way you drive over bumps and curbs and such. I would not recomend anything lower than 1"

Thanks I think I'm sold on them. I'll probably submit my order with Steve within next couple of weeks.

The Mahdi Ceasar TS5's aren't bad wheels, they're a real JDM 2-piece wheel, I just don't like the fact that they knocked off a very cool design that SSR originally came up with. I think in general, copying a design is bad...the only time I think it's really OK is if the design is changed enough to give it a "similar but different" look...what Mahdi does is similiar to Dronell...though I think Dronell makes a technically superior wheel (forged in some cases).

However, the paint job looks great...from the pictures, it looks like that matched it well. I'm not a big fan of "reds" but that looks great. I just saw a Cinnabar Pearl GS (which was available on the 2001 model...I have the catalog right here) the other day with some 20" HRE 545's (silver with a high polished lip) and it looked NICE! Hmmm, maybe I'll do a set of 545's next...
