You know you have to send it your ECU to JET to let them tune it. The whole process takes about 1 day, excluding the mailing and shipping stuffs. They are located at Riverside, California if I remember it right. I could go check it out this winter break. Man, I'm busy!

Hey guys,
Unless someone here is familier with their services and products, sending your original ECU to them is pretty risky. Wait, did I just hear that RA is volunteering to go check out the shop for us in person? You go RA. We owe you one.
Your next BOBA is on me if you try the product first on your GS430

All in a sudden there are so many shop interested in tuning Lexus GS. Geez.
JET is a domestic company and I'm not sure if I could trust them, just my personal opinion. When it comes to tuning, I always trust the japanese. But I will try to find out more information regarding JET, Factor X, and others.
I will keep you guys updated.

This is how the JET ECU work out. I just read this in the mag today.
(1) Purchase a JET box at your retail store
(2) Inside the box there are an instruction how to locate the ECU and remove it, a form you need to fill out about your car.
(3) Put the ECU inside the box and mail it to JET.
Most likely they will take one day to do the retuning and mail it back to you.

Well, guys, I just got off the phone with Craig at Jet, here is what he has to say.
They have remapped the fuel and ignition curves from 1500 to WOT, he is sending me a Dyno chart with a before and after on the 98 GS400, he claims 16-18 HP at the wheel. If you have other mods on the car, he will take all into consideration when burning the computer. He is just Flashing the EEprom, not soldering anything... He says he has only had one issue with a computer frying and it was a Supra TT, the owner did not pull the battery cables and let the system drain before pulling and installing the computer DOH, brilliance!!
When I get the Dyno sheet, I will post it for you.

Interesting
SHhuld be interesting as according to Jet's own figures, their chips for other cars do not make as much HP/TQ as other brands for same cars. Supra TT, Camara, Porsche,etc....
Let us know.

My email response from JET
We do have an ecu upgrade available for your application. The ecu upgrade does require that the factory ecu be sent to us for modification. You must purchase the upgrade package before sending the ecu to us for
the modification. Suggested retail is $399.00, and the part number is 65002. The ecu upgrades are all done per the application, in other words, do all the modifications you intend on doing before you get the ecu upgraded. That way the program can be set up for the specific modifications.Hp gains would be dependant on the extent of modifications.

If they're confident in their product they should offer a satisfaction guarantee.

im Glad.
hope to see this mod help all of us out in near future.
18hp to the wheels is not bad for under 400$
+ intake and exhaust.

Well I tried calling these guys today-Mon 10:30am. I was on hold for 7 minutes after being transferred before hanging up. Not a good start. Anyone have any better luck? By the way, they are located in Huntington Beach, CA
