Did you verify that the motor doesn't push the strut during a hard acceleration?
Where did you bought the intake?

This was a concern at first but you can get these pretty cheap off of ebay...its just plastic. Plus I don't really plan on taking the stb off anytime soon...even when I sell the car.

Hey one more thing, is your amp and speakers connected to your existing stock stereo? I forgot to ask at the last meet. Have you put some pics up of your trunk?
Thanks Chris
Yeah I would just replace the cover...they go pretty cheap on e-bay.

No pics of the trunk set-up yet...maybe I'll take some pics today. I don't know anything about that stuff though...I assume my buddy connected it to the existing stock stereo

PS - how much clearance do you get? Might it rub and create noise?
No clearance issues....I drove it around last night....everything was perfect I'm going to take off the stb again today to see if there was any rubbing on the plastic....then do some trimming as necessary...I'm really not expecting anything

Where did you bought the intake?
SRT...just a custom paint scheme...I have a thing for flat black

Thanks again guys for all the comments

are those pencil marks in first pic where you had to cut more or was that the "final cut"?
The pencil marks show the width of the stb. The stb only had clearance issues on the back edge. As a result I cut out about an inch in from the back edge...hope this makes sense !

Here are the steps that I took:

1) I disconnceted the stb from one side.
2) Install the engine cover while propping up the stb (I just had my g/f hold it)
3) Lower the stb and see where it rubs....look at it in perspective to the 2nd pic I posted.
4) Pencil the edges of the stb on the places where it rubs. You'll notice that it only rubs on the back edge...thus I only needed to cut an inch out from the back edge
5) Dremel it out...I measured everything out so the cuts were symetric.
6) I broke about 6 Dremel cutting discs until I decided to use the highest speed. Make sure you wear safety glasses!
7) Test fit it and you're done BTW...all the cut-out are hidden by the stb so it looks really clean.

Wheaton.....the SRT sounds awesome! The best part is that its not really that loud unless you really get on it. I can notice minimal performance gains; I mean 10-15 hp is pretty hard to notice but there is a difference.

PM me if you want to come check it out sometime

I believe roll is the most significant movement...yaw and pitch are pretty minimal...someone correct me if I'm wrong
