Default Changing color of steering wheel and airbag?

I was looking at a wood steering wheel and airbag for my 99ga400 just its a different color. Steering wheel would just have to have leather redone. I have a grey interior and was thinking of what options there would be on how to change the color of the airbag?

Thanks

If there's a shop close to you that sells auto body supplies, they almost always carry a couple of different brands of interior paint. They come in a spray can and in just about any interior colors. If you prep the surface right, the interior paint can actually last for a long period of time. The downfall is the fact that they do start to fade and or peel after sometime.

The other alternative that I have taken myself is to go to an upholtry shop and have them dye it for you. Not quite sure what type of dye they use, but mine has not faded or peeled yet.

I did read about the paint and thought that might be a option. I thought about spraying the airbag and redoing the leather on the wheel..

I had a shop here in broward redue my 99 GS steering wheel and arm rest and totally messed up the colors. Im going to post pictures and go over the details of what happened, wasnt pretty. He claimed the grey leather on my wheel was no longer available, so he re wrapped it and spayed it. Not what I was expecting.

The biggest problem you are going to find is to match the actual color of the grey. I went the opposite route, I had grey interior and went completely black. I purchased the complete interior including the black steering where, but the air bag blew when the car got into the accident. It was very easy to dye it black, but........you have grey.

How did you dye the airbag?

Changing the interior, black would be nice to have. What does something like that cost?
