Default Will LS400 wheels fit my GS and look good?

i found a deal on some OEM 17" LS400 wheels/tires. the tires are 225/55/17
tirerack states this is an OEM option on the GS300 but not the 400 (i have the 400), so i'm assuming they will fit properly. OEM on GS400 is 235/45/17.

i've searched threads and the internet w/ no definite answers.
will the increased sidewall height (10mm) look bad, like my car is higher up, do you think?

LS400 wheels are ugly as a ****. No spokes pattern and it covers everything...

I think the LS400 rims make the car look older, conservative and unathletic, but that's just me. But I do like the 18' rims on the newer LS430's.

LS400 16's

LS430 17's

LS430 18's

All of the rims in quetion have the same lug pattern (5x114)

If you currently have the GS stock 17's, I would suggest sticking to them. If you have the stock 16's. If you're looking to go LS rims either way, I think the 18's look good.

Default wheels

they are 17" chromes as shown in the 2nd photo.
i've had 18" sc430 wheels for long enought that the curb rash is bugging me (why i don't buy expensive wheels any more, i parallel park to much in the city and 1 mistake can cost a wheel)
my question is more about the height of the sidewall looking stupid.

I just drove next to a GS400 with the 3rd photo (LS430 Sport Chromes)

it actually looked nice 17X8s they fit perfect cause he ran a 245 width.

seriously if you can get a set for a decent price. I can say that they looked "right on."

I stand corrected. They were the 18x8s.

Perfect fit on the gs.

Except for the offset. I would use H&R spacers on the rears.
