Question Hmmmmmmmmmmmm?

My post mysteriously vanished for some reason. As it was a legitimate question, I don't see why someone would remove it! But anyway here goes: When & what mileage do/have you guys relpace the rear pads (factory)? I have replaced my front ones back in July, but the shop said that the rears were fine and they still appear to be. I'm at 50k right now.

Are your pad squealing? Usually they start to squeal and make a racket and you will know it is time to do the deed.

Erfan is correct. Pad squeal is the "wear indicator" mentioned in your manual. Time to do 'em.

This is totally bizzare! After posting this up, they haven't made a peep! Oh well, I believe I'm gonna go ahead and replace em'. I was just trying to get some mileage from the rest of you guys concerning this. Thanks!

txstyle,

You might want to replace them with TRD pads from Steve Ganz while you're at it.

BTW, your other post is still in the Suspension forum.

Before you change to TRD pads you should read this thread (BLiu's post):

Yep. I remember that post. I wouldn't put "high-perf. pads" on factory rotors anyway. I'm gonna go ahead and replace em' w/ factory pads, and just sit tight until my "Project MU" Big Brake upgrade this summer!

Have you found a place that carries "Project MU", if so, how much do they run? I found one site, but no mention of price. TIA
