I have 18" by 8.5" wide running 245/40 -18 Michelin PS2 tires. I DRIVE this car (at least 25,000 miles a year) and I want the comfort and security of a slightly higher profile tire. Afraid 19's or bigger would be too harsh and prone to bending rims. I go through a set of tires in a year or less, so we're already talking a thousand bucks (currently $1052 for a set on Tire Rack) a year in tires. I tried other tires but just wasn't satisfied with the handling or the ride so I'm sticking with the Michelins. The same tire in 19" is $1304 for a set of 4.Anyone know how 19s wear compared to 18s? I'm betting faster tire wear because the stiffer sidewall makes them scrub more.

well this is cool we have 19" and 20s'' in the run and 19"s are winning. i started the poll because there was a new guy that said he want 22" and i think if you are going to have a gs lex. it should have no bigger then 21" and i see a lot of you agree. if you want bigger get a chevy.

i have 20's 8.5 all around if i could do it again i would get 20" * 8.5 front and 20x9.5, or 10" in the rear, or just get the 22's because tires for 21's r more expensive than for the 22's.

I have Dubs on mine. As far as looks 20'z look better by a little but you cant really tell between 19'z and 20'z too much. I would consider getting 19'z for my next set of rims if it was a better fit with a drop and stuff like that. I also think its amazing that the jump between 19'z and 18'z is huge, at least in my eyes. 18'z on this car look dinky...
