Default Which ATF fliud for steering system.
Whats up guys. I have a quick question about adding power streering fliud into my 99 gs400. The resevior says add dexron II or dexron, in that order and my owners manual says use dexron II or dexron III. Am I able to use dexron III in my car or do I need to go with dexron II?

I used dexron III if i remember correctly. Actually, I just picked up a bottle of Castrol ATF fluid from autozone that was compatible with all the Dexron class. Works well for me so far. FLuid is still red, steering i still great, and no leaks.

I like Mobil 1 ATF and it works just fine for Dexron III systems.
