Actually, when I get my AEM standalone I'm pretty sure I can get that set up pretty easily. Just program one of the outputs to throw a relay when I go WOT

Apparently the VVTi is tuneable with the EMS. Some of the IS guys have been doing this for a while now. That's one of the big reasons why I'm sticking to the EMS for VVTi control. It makes a huge difference in low end torque and reduces spool up time if tuned correctly. I've seen a few videos of tuners in Japan experimenting with variable valve on/off. They did it on the 2JZ and RB26 and the result was pretty spectacular. It will take some tinkering to get the VVTi working to my advantage, but hopefully everything will work out
