I have the same exact problem Onedropz

The only thing I can think of is spending the $700 that the dealer wants towards an alarm with a trunk popper.

Any other suggestions?

Both you guys need to go to your local lexus dealer and ask about lexus ECM exchange program. Same thing happen to me got my SC400 without a master key. Got a ECM for the cost of a new master key and $145 labor. Hell some dealer will exchange your ECM with the purchace of 2 master keys. Good luck

You can get a "machanic key" made. It costed me $60. It unlocks the door, glovebox, and trunk but it doesn't start the car.

if i were you i'd go back to the dealer and ask them for a ecu exchange.
because you only have a valet key, you would not be able to program a master key. a new ecu + master keys + labor $1000+ easily. so complain all you can...
goodluck

This happened to me as well. I removed my back seats, took out the black piece that blocks you from the trunk, got a long pole, and pull the sucker
