Default Car think passenger door is open..

Ok, my problem is that my GS3 thinks its passenger door is open. I think I somehow short circuited something when I tried to switch out the courtesy light on the passenger door. Is there any way to fix this? Or even she do something so the car would think the door is closed?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Did you have problems changing out the bulb? If the light is on saying the door is open, then it could the door switch enbedded to the latching mechanism, or it could be a broken wire, which i doubt.

The courtesy door light doesnt even turn on just the inside lights stay on and the red open door thingy on my odometer is on. Once in awhile it goes "diiing" too. Sucks, a little mistake becomes an even bigger one.

Seems to me that the door lock actuator is giving you problems. This is a relatively common problem with the GS. There was even a Campaign on the earlier ones. I doubt the light would cause this concern but I will look at the wiring diagram and see if the circuit is multiplexed into the system.
Hope it helps,
Allen
