Does the JDM Aristo have a chip/immobilizer within the key? I ask because a lot of cars (Hondas, for instance) have immobilizer systems stateside but not in Japan. If it doesn't, then the ECU from the USDM car (equipped with immobilizer system) can be replaced with the JDM unit (assuming that the ECU plugs are identical). Then the car can be hot-wired or the keyhole portion of the ignition unit can be removed. That would allow a flathead screwdriver to be used to start the car.
A good alarm and more importantly, a good alarm install, will more likely eliminate or at least prolong the process of the theft.
