De-badging revisited
Thanx to Sasha, Dexter and Mark for the pictures of their de-badged rear ends (and three fine looking rear ends they are). Their pics helped me to decide to de-badge.
Just finished mine. For those considering it, it really wasn’t bad. Really cleaned up the deck (now if I could get rid of those redundant trunk lights). Used fishing line and Goo Gone with a Popsicle stick and a lot of fingernail. Took about an hour – being very careful not to scratch paint. Cleaned up with polishing compound and applied Zaino. Can’t see a trace of Lexus or GS400 (left the circle “L”).
BTW, I took a digital picture of trunk before doing it and de-badged it in Adobe Photo Deluxe, so I knew what it was going to look like before taking the kinda drastic step. Personally, I preferred the “L” in place although I did remove it digitally to see what it would look like.
For those with other opinions, there was a poll a while back and it showed 3 different camps when it comes to the cleaning off the rear end: one wants a really clean rear end, another wants a pretty clean rear but is reluctant to remove everything, and the largest group is going to leave everything back there (downright unsanitary). Just a thought.

Any suggestion on what type of sticking material to use after a debadged emblem that maybe rebadged again? I've tried 3M double sided sticking pad on my gf's integra but it doesn't work very well.

De-badging
is why I used the L-tuned grille, no "L" badge.
Trunk mounted tail/stop lamps.
You can make your brake lamps more prenounced, noticeable, if you open the wiring circuit to the tail lamp filament in these bulbs.
You can also buy the metal see-through mesh you often see on bus windows with an advertising overlay painted on, cover these same lights with this metal mesh after you paint it to match the car's color.
trunk mounted lights disappear until you hit the brakes.
