Default Foglight on - Headlights off Mod

Looking for some help to do the little mod that enables me to turn my foglights on while the headlights are off on my '99 gs4.

thanks.

I'm trying to figure out when you need to have your foglights on but your headlights off....

What do you mean flicker? As in if the fogs will come on with the high beam if you are flashing someone...then no it will not happen. The stock triggering relay disables the foglight when the high beam is switched on. There is a way around that which I've done on my car were all 3(low/high/fog) can be triggered at the same time.

Just for looks mostly It looks pretty clean especially if you have HID's in the fogs.

Me and GSteg have done this mod recently. I drive around with just my fogs on in the early mornings.

It was pretty straightforward but Henry was doing all the work.

Or you can do what i did, Phuq the original foglight switch and run a whole new switch and install it somewhere CLEAN Hehehe, (I wish i could use my original switch but i bought aftermarket fogs and figured whatever ill just run this new switch they gave me into the cabin.)

^^^ extra wires are yucky.

i dont like running extra wires into my cabin unless i am setting up an audio install..

because if u run it direct..then sometimes u leave it on and there goes ur battery..

in generall..not fond of it .. hmm

just run aftermarket HID for low beam and fogs and then swap the turn on plugs.

this will make your low beam control your fogs and your fog light switch control your low beams.

overexposed result:

Yea but then when you go to use your highbeams your lowbeams will turn off. And you also always have to have you fogs on in order to have the lowbeams on.

only a prob if you have HID high beams. I do and I only use them if I absolutely need them. if you keep your factory halogens you will have instant on and light further up the road.

Sorry dude, it was kind of spur of the moment. If you still want to do it I can try to help you, but Henry knows way better than I do.
