the link from oohpapi44 is helpful and informative. My check engine light has been on and off for months, and I finally managed to pull the error codes last night and got this same code, so you and I are in the same boat.

When the check engine light comes on, so do the vsc and vscoff lights. The gas pedal also doesnt seem to work and I cannot accelerate the car. Does your car have these same problems? Im hoping to get this serviced soon, and hopefully it will also resolve the hard pinging issues at 1k-2k RPMs that I occassionally get.

I would try cleaning out the TB. I cleaned it and cleared out my CEL/VSC/VSC off light.

Tuburculosis.... or throttle body.

I've had the same code but my car never went into limp mode again. Would a dirty MAF and TB lead to a false code? Or does my TPS or APPS need to be replaced?

You could have the same problem I did.. You may need the "throttle pedal" (cable) changed rather than the entire throttle body. 200 dollar part. Check this thread out. Good luck.

No sir. The dealer did not charge me for the install, so I had them do it. Not an easy diy since the part (which is the throttle linkage) goes through the firewall.
