Default Double DIN question... need to order part today

Hey Fellas,

So I'm working hard to try and install my audio system this weekend. Everything is getting replaced. I have putting in a Pioneer Z1 and need to know if I need a factory wiring harness for it?? If so, which one do I need and where can I order it? Need it by this weekend if that is the case.... Like I said, I will NOT be retaining the factory amp, speakers, sub, cd changer, or head unit...... any help is greatly appreciated!

Hate to be a pest, but I really need to know if I need a wiring harness for this new system.

I can't see why I would need it if I'm not still utilizing the factory Amp, but I'm not sure...... HELP A BROTHER OUT!

if you want to run all of the wires from the new radio to each of the spks, you wont need the harness. if your not planning on rewiring all wires to each spkr, then buy a harness and plugin through the factory wires that plug in to the factory amp.

good luck finding a plug. As far as I know there isnt one made just for the gs300. You will probably need a 87-up toyota plug, and do some work to that, like re-pin it so it they line up with factory. Thats what I had to do on my avic d3. it not too hard you just need a wiring diagram for your car.

I dont believe there is one for the 98+ GS (Correct me if I am wrong).

I made up my own loom.
You must get all the speaker cables from either your new HU or your aftermarket amp back to the factory amp where all 5 speaker cables connect. This is a great area to get the Perm 12V & Switched 12V too.

Bear in mind that to use the stock Sub, you need an extra amp!!!
