Clicking o bubbling noise in the dash is one of two things that I have seen. It can be your ac servo motors or your coolant is low. The servo motors will click intermittently any time the key is on. The air in the heater core will bubble when the car is started or reved.

Someone in the RX forum removed the servo, took it part, cleaned it, lubricated it, re-installed it, and it worked fine. I'm gonna try to get to the bad servo this weekend and see if I can repair it...worth a shot.

Alright, mine was on the passenger side. Pull cover off bottom, disconnect light.
Open glove box remove 3 screws and remove 2 10mm bolts along bottom. Pull glove box out.
I turned key on and listened for noise...seemed to come from behind duct going to center dash area. I was able to unsnap part of the duct and remove some wiring positions to get to a black box. Turned key on and sure enough that was it. Get this...I pushed in on the box a little and heard a click and the noise stopped? WTF? It sounded like some gears inside were not aligned and by pushing on the side they clipped back together???? Turned the key on/off for a while, let the car run for over 15 minutes ...still no sound. Figured if it ain't broke don't fix it. Buttoned everything back up and will cross my fingers.
So this is a pretty straightforward DIY, not hard at all to get behind the glove compartment and track down the noise.

The bubbling is air trapped in the heater case. If you jack up the front of your car and let it run for 10-15 minutes it should purge it all out. The bubbling does not mean your low on coolant, air can get trapped in there, especially if you have had your cooling system flushed.
The clicking sound is the blend door or mode door servo motors. Usually if you stick your head near your open glove box you can hear them a lot better.
