Default Removing stock ****

Simply rotate counter clockwise... it's a VERY long thread.

Default Stock vs. MOMO

Obviously there's different MOMO **** styles, but here's a comparison of the tall zebrano wood one I'm installing and the stock one:

Default Caps and screws

The package contains several rubber caps, all with the same OUTER diameter matched to the INSIDE of the ****, but each rubber cap has a different INNER diameter, to match to a particular car's shift rod. The GS needs the cap with the smallest inner diameter.

There's also two packs of screws (short and shorter ) and a hex key wrench to tighten them. The silver ring on the left goes on the shift rod first and is tightened up on the **** after to hide the screw holes.

Default Install ring and cap

The lower cover ring goes on the shift rod first, and then the rubber cap goes on top.

Default cap in ****

The shift **** goes down over the rubber cap, and the rubber cap SHOULD go all the way to the top of the ****. Here's the cap inside the first (short zebrano wood) **** I installed (after I'd take it off).

Default Fixing a cap

If the cap doesn't go all the way into the end of the ****, and it didn't on the knew tall zebrano ****, what I did is drill a hole through the end of the rubber cap while it was still in the ****:

(NOTE: This picture is 'rigged' - it actually shows the SHORT zebrano wood **** I had on before I put on the new tall one.)

Default install **** and screws

Once the **** is on, the (long) screws can be installed. DON'T SCREW JUST ONE IN ALL THE WAY. All that does it push the **** away from the shift rod on the other side. Screw in all three screws part way and then keep screwing each one in a bit more until they're tight.

Default Voila

Finally screw the bottom ring up onto the **** to cover the screws.

If you were paying attention, you'll notice I switched from the silver bottom ring to the black one that came with the short **** I first had on. I think the the black looks better.

Bit, thanks, bud. I appreciate your posts. I still don't know how you got the screws to touch the shaft. I must have gotten a set with only the shortest screws. I have to contact Burien.

Same here!!

Mine only came with the shorter set of screws.
Also, mine only came with the very large diameter adaptors. The larger 3. The one that seems like will fit the GS and the next one isn't included.

Gonna ask Burien.

K10 - I bought mine through www.imotorworks.com. Their web site is lame and they're slow to ship (I guess they don't stock them), but they've now delivered two ***** to me as promised at the best prices around, so I can't complain.
